Student Testimonials
Tesilimi Oladimeji Yusuf, MSc Economics and Finance
"The delivery of the course and the way the lecturers simplify each module in the course is quite amazing. It is quite informative and enlightening to know in-depth information about the economic and financial challenges of companies and governments. I also enjoy the fact that I have to do a lot of independent learning and prepare several reports.
"I already have a computing background, and I have acquired increased analytical and numerical skills in this course. I now understand financial forecasting and am deeply rooted in research and economic modelling. I have also been taught how to apply this in the real world. My writing and presentation skills have also sharpened to the expected standard.
"My lecturers are simply fantastic. They are not just professionals in their teaching approach, they have real life experience and their wealth of knowledge has been advantageous to my learning process. They seem to know everything and are always willing to encourage you. They have also exposed me to the real world and how to be competitive in the labour market.
"My investment in further studies here is really one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Now, I look forward to a career in financial prognosis which would serve as a convergence point for my computing background and my Masters in Economics and Finance. I now have strong confidence in what I can do and offer establishments. I am also equipped enough now to give some interesting business plans a good shot. How can I forget the international network of friends I can now boast of? It has been a superb decision for me to study at Nottingham Business School."
Colm Cannon, Course: MSc Management and International Business
"I have enjoyed having the close contact with the lecturers, learning a new discipline without having to go through another three years at university. I have enjoyed the way in which the course was taught with a very hands-on approach.
"I have learned many different management skills which include being able to manage finance, managing human resources, strategic approaches to managing business and analysing businesses, risk management and operating a business in an international environment as well as working well in groups and with people of different cultural backgrounds.
"All of the tutors I have come in contact with have been very willing to do the extra bit to make sure that I or other students really understand the topic.
"Being at Nottingham Business School has definitely influenced my future career path, I have been given a key that will help me open many doors that I probably wouldn't have been able to reach without my education. I hope to use both my psychology and management degrees to make an impact in my future life."
